ORDINANCE NO. 99 15
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 24, OF THE HAWAII COUNTY CODE 1983
(1995 EDITION), RELATING TO VEHICLES AND TRAFFIC.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAIL•
SECTION 1. Chapter 24, article 8, division 1, section 24-201 (Special parking
privileges), of the Hawaii County Code 1983 (1995 edition), is amended by amending subsection
(b) to read as follows:
(b) The chief engineer is hereby authorized to designate and identify [one]
Ixs special pazking [stall] stalls on Kahoa [Road] Ssre~t leading to Honolii
Beach Park for the sole use of County of Hawaii lifeguazds assigned to the
public facility and for emergency vehicles during the working hours of the
lifeguazd.
SECTION 2. Material to be repealed is bracketed. New material is underscored. In
printing this ordinance, the brackets, bracketed material and underscoring need not be included.
SECTION 3. If any provision of this ordinance, or the application thereof to any person
or circumstance, is held invalid, such invalidity shall not affect other provisions or applications
of the ordinance which can be given effect without the invalid provision or application, and to
this end, the provisions of this ordinance are declazed to be severable.
SECTION 4. This ordinance shall take effect upon its approval.
