RELATING TO THE CONSTRUCTION OF CERTAIN SPECIAL IMPROVEMENTS
IN AND ADJACENT TO WILDER ROAD IN KAUMANA, DISTRICT OF SOUTH
HILO, HAWAII, AS HERETOFORE PROPOSED UNDER PETITION FILED
WITH THE COUNTY CLERK ON DECEMBER 29, 1972, AND AMENDED BY
AMENDMENT OF PETITION FILED WITH THE COUNTY CLERK ON MARCH 23,
1973.
WHEREAS, by Petition filed with the County Clerk on
December 29, 1973, as amended by Amendment to Petition filed
with the County Clerk on March 23,
51 1973, 1000 of the owners
of the property to be included within the proposed improve-
ment district petitioned this Council for improvements con-
sisting of opening and/or extending and widening a paved
street, including drainage and a bridge, and a street light-
ing system, a water reservoir system and a water distribution
main, at certain land situated at Kaumana, South Hilo, Hawaii,
the cost to be borne by the property owners all pursuant to
the provisions of Section 3.4 of Ordinance No. 350, as amended;
and
WHEREAS, in said Petition the Petitioners alleges
that they are the owners of one hundred per cent (100,,) of
the entire assessable area within the proposed improvement
district; and
WHEREAS, said Petition, as amended, shows the
necessary preliminary scope of work, map and other data,
details and preliminary specifications for the proposed
improvements, together with estimates of the probable cost
thereof, and shows a description and an estimate of the
share of the cost of the improvement against the property
subject to assessment therefore; and

WHEREAS, the said Petition, as amended, has now
been further and fully considered by the Council;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL of the
County of Hawaii as follows:
That the Chief Engineer of the Department of Public
Works be and is hereby directed to investigate and report to
the Council preliminary data concerning the necessity, feasibi-
lity and method desirable for the aforementioned road, water
and street light improvements in Kaumana, District of South
Hilo, County and State of Hawaii; and to include in his pre-
liminary report all such data, survey, maps, plans, drawings,
details, specifications for the improvements and any other
matters or details intended to apply thereto in accordance
with the provisions of Section 3.1 of Ordinance No. 350, as
amended.
That the County Clerk be directed to forthwith
furnish the Petitioners and said Chief Engineer with a copy
of this resolution.
