County of Hawaii--State of Hawaii
Resolution
WHEREAS, the County of Hawaii has adopted a revised General
Plan document containing the County's goals, policies, and
standards; and
WHEREAS, specific implementory tools must be developed and
set into active motion; and
WHEREAS, the development of detailed traffic circulation
pattern maps for the North and South Kona Districts and zoning
guide maps for the entire County would provide some of the
mechanisms needed to.implement the General Plan; and
WHEREAS, the County of Hawaii recognizes the pressing need
for such mechanisms and accordingly agrees to contribute $3,000
in cash and $1,500 in services-in-kind for those projects;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Hawaii County Council
that it does hereby request of the State Department of Planning
and Economic Development and the United States Department of
Housing and Urban Development assistance in funding the develop-
ment of two specific General Plan implementory tools under the
auspices of the 11701" Comprehensive Planning Assistance Program.'
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that copies of this resolution be
forwarded to the appropriate State and Federal agencies.
