Resolution
WHEREAS, Section 10-11 of the Charter requires that any
contract, lease or other obligation requiring payment of funds
from appropriations of a later fiscal year be approved by
resolution;
WHEREAS, contracts with the State Law Enforcement and
Juvenile Delinquency Planning Agency and other contracts for
expenditure of federal funds require cash and/or in-kind contri-
butions by the county from appropriations to be made in later
fiscal years; and
WH~REAS, some pay increases and other cost items negotiated
in employee contracts are payable in future years;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that payment from later fiscal
years be approved for State Law Enforcement and Juvenile Delin-
quency Planning Agency and other contracts for expenditure of federal
funds and for cost items negotiated in employee contracts.
