Resolution
WHEREAS, a new road, known commonly as the New Volcano Road, has been
constructed in the District of Puna, County and State of Hawaii; and
WHEREAS, the construction of said New Volcano Road has created a road
remnant which is no longer of any use to the County of Hawaii;
NOW, THEREFORE. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAwAII
that the portion of the Old Volcano Road, as shown in red on the map attached
hereto and marked Exhibit A, be and is hereby declared abandoned as a roadway.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the County Clerk be authorized and directed to
forward a copy of this resolution to Mr. Sunao Kido, Mr. James Detor, Mrs.
Mildred Yamamoto, Mr. Charles Schuster and to the Department of Public Works of
the County of Hawaii.
