Resolution
WHEREAS, a new road, known commonly as Pohoiki Road has been
approved in the District of Puna, County of Hawaii and State of Hawaii;
and
WHEREAS, the said new Pohoiki Road has created a road remnant which
is no longer of any use to the County of Hawaii for roadway purposes.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII
that the portion of the Pohoiki Road, as described in the attachment marked
Exhibit A, be and is hereby declared abandoned as a roadway and the Mayor
of the County of Hawaii be and is hereby authorized to QUITCLAIM said
remnant portion to the State of Hawaii.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the County Clerk be authorized and directed
to forward a copy of this resolution to Mr. Sunao Kido, Mr. James Detor, Mrs.
Mildred Yamamoto, and the Department of Public Works of the County of Hawaii.
