RELATING TO "IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT NO. 15 - WILDER ROAD
IMPROVEMENT," KAUMANA, COUNTY OF HAWAII, AMENDING RESO-
LUTION NO. 54 (1973)
WHEREAS, on April 18, 1973, this Council adopted
Resolution No. 54, Relating to the Permanent Improvements
of Hilo Country Club Estates, Kaumana, Hawaii, Accepting
and Adopting the Petition and the Report of the Chief En-
gineer Therefor, Finding That Approval and Making of Pro-
posed Improvements is in Public Interest, Proposing to
Make Said Improvements, Ordering Reimbursement of Peti-
tioner for Certain Costs, Providing for Reserve Fund, De-
termining That Notices and Hearings Shall Be Unnecessary,
Creating, Defining and Establishing "Improvement District
No. 15 - Wilder Road Improvement" Kaumana County of Hawaii,
and Providing for the Improvement Thereof, and Directing
the Chief Engineer to Prepare a Final Report; and
WHEREAS, by inadvertence there were certain
omissions therefrom which should be corrected;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNTY
COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that said Resolution No.
54 be and the same is hereby amended nuns pro tune as
follows:
I.
By adding the words "street lighting" at the
end of the fifth line in paragraph III of said resolution.
II.
By adding "slope easements" after the words
"street rights-of-way" in line 2 of paragraph V of said
resolution, and the words "as amended" after the words
"Exhibit III" and "said petition" in line 4 of said
paragraph V.
III.
By adding the following subparagraphs in para-
graph XI, part A, of said. resolution, to wit:
3a. STREET LIGHTING SYSTEM. New street
lighting units, including mounting brackets
and all appurtenances, shall be installed on
the utility poles along Wilder Road as widened
.and extended.
4a. BRIDGE (DRAINAGE STRUCTURE). A major
drainage structure will be constructed within
the road right-of-way consisting of two 96-inch
corrugated metal pipe culverts with reinforced
concrete transitions, upstream and downstream
channelization, chain link fencing and metal
beam guard rails along the edges of the road
right-of-way.
and by deleting the last sentence in subparagraph 4 in said
paragraph XI, Part A, and substituting therefor the follow-
ing sentence: "An existing lava tube will be improved and
used as part of the drainage system."
IV.
By changing paragraph XII,."LAND TO BE ACQUIRED"
of said resolution to read as follows:
The lands required for road, drainage and
water purposes are as described in the part of
Exhibit III-1 which is attached to the Amendment
to Petition filed with the County Clerk of the
County of Hawaii on March 23, 1973, which part
of said Exhibit III-1 is incorporated herein by
reference as if fully set forth herein.
