RESOLUTIO14 NO.
WHEREAS. PAUL MATSUMOTO has been a staunch supporter,
backeri and fund-raiser for the Democratic Party on the
Orchid Island" and
WHEREAS; it appears that the Internal Revenue Service
desires to solicit the services of Paul Matsumoto in "fund'
raising" as well and
WHEREAS, next to the Internal Revenue Service, the taxpaying
Democrats on this island fear Paul Matsumoto as a "threat" to
their pocketbooks and hank accounts; and
lZiEREAS; Paul 'Matsumoto has been labeled a "rip-off"
artist; a "slave driver" and "con man" by his friends., supporters;
and enemies; and
WHEREAS' the "other" party' the name of which escapes us
at the moment' recognizes and admires our own Paul Matsumoto as
a fearless knight in armor whom they would like to recruit for
their side; and
611iEREAS Paul Matsumoto hass nevertheless, served quietly
and without publicity throughout the years as the principal
fundraiser of 'the Democratic Party;
NOWD THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY
OF HAWAII that Paul Matsumoto be given the title of "Professor
Emeritus of Fund-Raising for the Democratic Party in the

County of Hawaii for his tireless efforts on behalf of the Party
throughout the years. His "probationary status" having just
expired, Paul Matsumoto is now granted permanent tenure as a
fundraiser, to serve without pay and fringe benefits, forever.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the County Clerk forward a
copy of this Resolution to Paul Matsumoto at his residence at
1142 Ainaola Drive, Hilo, Hawaii, and to the Hawaii County
Committee of the Democratic Party.
