County of Hawaii--State of Hawaii
Resolution
WHEREAS, the Racine County Board of Supervisors has
designated the County of Hawaii as a Sister County by resolution
on August 14, 1973; and
WHEREAS, Racine County shares many economic, social and
cultural interest in common with the County of Hawaii; and
WHEREAS, the delegates of both counties to the recent
convention of the National Association of Counties have agreed
to make simultaneous attempts to pass resolutions making Hawaii
and Racine Counties Sister Counties; and
WHEREAS, the County of Hawaii wishes to enter into a Sister
County program with Racine County to develop a program of mutual
cultural and educational exchange,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE
COUNTY OF HAWAII that the County of Hawaii be a Sister County
to Racine County, Wisconsin.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Council of the County of Hawaii
that the Honorable Robert M. Yamada, Chairman of the Council of
the County of Hawaii be and is hereby directed to forward a copy
of this resolution to the Board of Supervisors of Racine County,
Wisconsin.
