HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES 125 Draft 01 1972-1976 RESOLUTION NO. ~2 WHEREAS, the Department of Education has granted MISS MILDRED TOLENTINIO a Professional Improvement Leave to study Ethnic Music related to the different ethnic groups of Hawaii for the school year 1973-74; and WHEREAS, the bulk of her study tour will be concentrated in the Republic of the Philippines, and her itinerary will include the City of Legazpi; and WHFREAS, the County of Hawaii, Island of Hawaii, is honorably affiliated with the City of Legazpi as sister cities, and WHEREAS, one of the purposes for establishing a sister city affiliation is to develop mutual trust and understanding wrong all of the people of the world, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED By THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that the County of Hawaii, island of Hawaii, hereby designates MISS MILDRED T©LENTINO as an official emissary from the County of Hawaii to the Sister City of Legazpi. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that MISS MILDRED TOLENTINO be and is hereby instructed to present a copy of this resolution to the official representative of the City of Legazpi, Republic of the Philippines, and to extend warmest greetings from the City of Hilo.
