A Resolution to Encourage the Decriminalization of the Use of Marijuana
FROM:
The attached resolution relates to the decriminalization of marijuana. If adopted, it would declare
that the County Council believes that marijuana should be decriminalized and not be treated as
an illicit substance.
The resolution further urges the Hawai'i State Legislature to initiate legislation that would
decriminalize the cultivation, possession, and use of marijuana.
Please place on the appropriate agenda for the next Council Committees meeting scheduled for
December 15,2009.
