Re: Kohala Ranch Community Association ("Association") Fire Truck
Donation
Transmitted herewith for the Council's approval is a resolution authorizing
the County to accept the donation of a Freightliner M2106 Fire Truck from the
Association. Said donation will greatly assist the Hawaii Fire Department by
providing an additional emergency fire suppression vehicle for the Kohala Ranch
Volunteer Fire Company.
We are requesting that this resolution be waived to full Council due to time
constraints in meeting an end-of-year deadline for the Association to finalize this
donation.

RE: Resolution No. 286-09 : A Resolution Authorizing the Acceptance of a Donation of
A Fire Truck From the Kohala Ranch Community Association to the County of I-Iawai' i
Fire Department
Pursuant to Section 2(g) of Rule 4 of the Rules of Procedure of the Council of the County of
Hawai'i, this written request is submitted with my approval that the above-referenced matter be
waived from the Finance Committee to the full Council for immediate action. In the event this
request is denied, for whatever reason, I understand the matter shall be referred to the Finance
Committee for placement on its future agenda.
