Ford, Council Member ~y~ e v SUBJECT: A resolution regarding County of Hawaii wastewater improvement projects and a request for stimulus funds from the federal American Recovery and Reinvestment Act and other federal sources to complete those projects The attached resolution is a request for stimulus funds (American Recovery and Reinvestment Act) and additional grants from various department and agencies of the Federal government to complete County of Hawaii wastewater improvement projects. In reviewing this matter, timely approval is crucial. It is therefore advantageous that approval is granted and the matter placed onto the next Council agenda for review. However, in the event this request is denied, for whatever reason, I understand the matter shall be referred to the Committee on Environmental Management for cement on its future agenda.
