Re: Monetary Donation to the Fire Department
Enclosed is a resolution accepting a monetary donation of $2,000 from Mr. Dillion H. Braun
and TI-LE-AN Management, Inc., 165 E. Parks Highway, Suite 207, Wasilla, Alaska
99654, in appreciation of a rescue at Hapuna Beach Park by the Ocean Safety Officers.
The funds will be used to purchase needed equipment related to the mission of providing
ocean safety operations and public safety education programs.
Also enclosed is a bill for an ordinance amending the Operating Budget by appropriating
the funds into the West Hawai'i Ocean Safety equipment account.
If there are any questions, please do not hesitate to call the Hawai'i Fire Department.

R.E: Resolution No. 287-09 and Bill No. 183: A Resolution Authorizing the Acceptance ofa
Monetary Donation of $2,000 to the Hawai' i Fire Department and an Ordinance to Amend
Ordinance No. 09-64, as Amended, the Operating Budget for the County of Hawai'i for the
Fiscal Year Ending June 30, 2010.
Pursuant to Section 2(g) of Rule 4 of the Rules of Procedure of the Council of the County of
l-Iawai'i, this written request is submitted with my approval that the above-referenced matter be
waived from the Finance Committee to the full Council for immediate action. In the event this
request is denied, for whatever reason, I understand the matter shall be referred to the Finance
Committee for placement on its future agenda.
