RESOLUTION NO. 51
RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE GOVERNOR OF THE STATE OF HA'tlAII
TO RELEASE FUNDS FOR THE SCHOOL PROJECT AT WAIAKEA-WAENA
E~EMENTARY SCHOOL, COUNTY OF HAWAII, HILO, HAWAIL
WHEREAS, Subsection D 7 e of Section 1, Act 52,
Session Laws of Hawaii 1964, appropriated $40,000 for a
school project at Waiakea-Waena Elementary School, Hilo,
County of Hawaii, State of Hawaii; and
WHEREAS, the said project is vital and required for /
the growth and development of Waiakea-Waena Elementary
School; and
WHEREAS, by communication No. 66, dated January 7,
1965, the Office of District Superlnt endent Hawaii. Schools,
Department Of Ed'dcati on, State of Hawai i, recommends that
NOW,' THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF
SUPERVISORS in and for the County of Hawaii that the
Honorable John A. Burns, Governor of the State of Hawaii,
be and is hereby respectfully requested to make available
to the County of Hawaii the sum of $40,000 for the Waiakea-
WaenaElementary School project, pursuant to the provisions

of Subsection D 7 e of Section 1, Act 52, Session Laws of
Hawaii 1964.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the County Clerk be and she
is hereby directed to send copies of this" resolution to the
Honorable John A. Burns, Governor of the State of Hawaii,
to the Honorable Shelley Mark, Director of' the Department
of Planning and Economic Development, and to the Honorable
