The amendments are a product of <br />recommendations made by the Director of Research and Development, Mr. Randy Kurohara, to <br />rename the Food Policy Council as the Agricultural Advisory Commission. <br /> <br />The amendments are the following: <br /> <br />1. The title is amended to read: <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION URGING ADOPTION OF MEASURES TO ENHANCE THE <br />DEVELOPMENT OF AN EFFECTIVE AGRICUL TlJRAL POLICY FOR THE <br />COUNTY OF HA\VAI'I BY MEANS OF [}'1 FOOD POLICY COUNCIL] AN <br />AGRICULTURAL ADVISORY COMMISSION. <br /> <br />2. The ih WHEREAS clause is amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />WHEREAS, though the County Council recognizes the need for an Agricultural Plan, <br />currently underway, a [Food Policy Council] Agricultural Advisory Commission is also <br />needed; and <br /> <br />3.
