We request the Hawai'i County Code, Chapter 24, Article 10, Division 4 (Pedestrians),
Section 24-276, Schedule 24 (Crosswalks), paragraph (f) (Kona) be amended by having
the following inserted and the subsequent subsections renumbered appropriately:
U ALII DRIVE IN KAILUA-KONA, ONE HUNDRED SEVENTY FEET NORTH OF
SARONA ROAD, FRONTING MOKUAIKAUA CHURCH.
The proposed crosswalk meets warrants for vehicular and pedestrian volumes and will
better facilitate pedestrian movements in this area of high pedestrian activity in Kailua
Kona. The new crosswalk will consist of ADA improvements such as curb ramps. The
nearest ADA compliant crosswalks are approximately three hundred seventy feet to the .
north and four hundred sixty feet to the south.
