RESOLUTION NO. 66
RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE GOVERNOR OF THE STATE OF HAWAII
TO RELEASE FUNDS FOR THE PRELIMINARY-PLANS TO.CONSTRUCT,THE
SCHOOL AND COMMUNITY LIBRARY-AT.PAHOA, COUNTY OF HAWAII,
WHEREAS, Section 1-D-4-b of Act 2011 Session Laws of
Hawaii 1963, provides for the appropriation of $2,000 for
preliminary plans to construct a school and community library
at Pahoa, County of Hawaii; and
WHEREAS, by communication No. 155 dated February 1, 1965,
the Office of the District Superintendent of Hawaii Schools,
Department of Education, State of Hawaii, recommends that funds
for the above project be released; and
WHEREAS, this Board is desirous of proceeding with said
project,

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF
SUPERVISORS in and for the County of Hawaii that the
Honorable John A. Burns, Governor of the State of Hawaii,
be and is hereby respectfully requested to make available
' to the County of Hawaii the sum of $2,000 for preliminary

plans to construct a school and community library at Pahoa,
County of Hawaii, pursuant to the provisions of Section 1-D-4-b
of Act 201, Session Laws of Hawaii 1963.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the County Clerk be and she
is hereby directed to send copies of this resolution to the
Honorable John A. Burns, Governor df. the `State of Hawaii, to

Planning and Economic Development, and to the Honorable
Andrew F.' Ing, Director of Finance, for their favorable
