late of Hilo, Hawaii, on February 269 1965,, has caused
much grief and is deeply egrett -d* and
'R RZ Sp UR C. CARVALHO contributed greatly to the
cultural development of this Inland as tho bandmaster of
the Hawaii County Bond t nearly- 20 years and as a member
of the band for additIonai nine years for a total perilad
of faithful service extending over nearly three decades; and

tradition to contribute to the cultural advancement of this
island after his family had founded the first Hawaii County
Band* and
HEREASO the passing of said URBAN Co CARVALHO is a
great 1"s not only to his family and friends but also to
the County and' c unity„
NOW., THER l^ ORE p BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD
SUPERVISORS in-and for the County of Hawaii at Its meeting
assembled on this date that It does hereby. record its
sorrow and sympathy or, the, passing of UPMAN C. C.ARVA and
expresses its heartfelt condolence to the surviving members
of his family.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLV'E'D that the County Clerk b
instructed to transmit a true copy of this resolution to
the surviving fam iy members of UMAN Co CARVALM.
