{ COUNTY OF HAWAII - STATE OF HAWAII RESOLUTION NO.. 109 DETERMINING THE REAL PROPERTY TAX RATES FOR THE COUNTY OF HAWAII "FOR THE CALENDAR YEAR 1965. WHEREAS, Section 129-2 of the Revised Laws of Hawaii 1955, as amended, by Act 142, Session Laws of Hawaii 1963, provides that the Board of Supervisors of the County of Hawaii shall determine the tax rates for buildings and for all other real property, exclusive of buildings, for each class of property established in accordance with subsection 128-9(d), Revised Laws of Hawaii 1955, as amended, by said Act 142; and WHEREAS, under said Act 142, the following classes are °.i established as general classes for purposes of real property taxation: (1) single family and two-family residential, (2) three or more family apartment and hotel and resort, (3) commercial, (4) industrial, (5) agricultural and (6) conservation; and WHEREAS, the Board has taken as a basis for calculating the real property tax rate for the County-of Hawaii the following schedule of aggregate values of real property for the various general classes in the County of Hawaii assessable for tax purposes as of March 20, 1965, certified and furnished by the State Director of Taxation: Value of Net Taxable Buildings Value of Net Taxable Land Class (1) (residential) $21,514,617 $ 47,961,708 Class (2) (apartment/hotel/rent) 49023,469 3,910,531 Class (3) (commercial) 10,143,866 10,134,519 Class (4) (industrial) 91297,476 6,264,789 Class (5). TOTAL $53,545,002 $121,152,350 Value of Net Taxable No^ -2¢7 27m Real Property: $174,697,352; and WHEREAS, the amounts to be raised from real property taxes for the calendar year 1965 is the sum of $3,127,082.00. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS of the County of Hawaii that the following schedule of rates be, and is, hereby determined as the respective rates at which real property in the various general classes in the County of Hawaii shall be taxed per $1,000.00 of assessed value for the calendar year 1965: Class Tax Rate Per Thousand Tax Rate Per Thousand Net Taxable Lands Net Taxable Buildings (1) (residential) $18.47 $16.63 (2) (apartment/hotel/rent) $18.86 $16.97 (3) (commercial) $18.83 $16.96 (4) (industrial) $19.04 $17.14 Tax Rate Per Thousand - Net Taxable Real Property (5) (agricultural) $17.90 (6) (conservation) $17.90; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a certified copy of this Resolution be transmitted by the County Clerk to the State Director of Taxation as required by law.
