RESOLUTION NO. 113
PROVIDING FOR THE ACQUISITION OF LAND FOR ROADWAY ALONG
HONOKAA SCHOOL GROUNDS IN THE DISTRICT OF HAMAKUA, COUNTY
AND STATE OF HAWAII.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS.OF.THE:COUNTY
OF HAWAII
t That,it is necessary, f,or the public use and purpose, to

.wit; to construct a..roadiVay along the Honokaa School Grounds
in the District, of Hamakua, County .and State of Hawaii, to take,
acquire and condemn the land hereinafter described, and to that.
end and for the purposes the County Attorney of the County of
Hawaii be and"he is hereby authorized and empowered to initiate
proceedings in eminent domain, as provided by law, for the taking,
acquisition and condemnation of the lurid described as follows;
PARCEL 1
BEING A PORTION OF LOT 24, KAAO HOMESTEADS,..GRANT 7782.TO'
JOHN S . TEIXEIRA
KAAO"HOMESTEADS, HAMAKUA, HAWAII
Beginning at the North corner of. this parcel of land which
is also the Southwest corner of Executive Order 408, Honokaa School
<3} Grounds, and being-.also on the East side of Government Road, the-
coordinates of said point of beginning referred to Government
~~2y Survey Triangulation Station "KAAO" being 5}.8.81 feet. North' and
298.94 feet West andrunning by azimuths measured clockwise from
true South;

Road;
4) 189° 40, 31.50 feet along the East side of Government
Road to the point of be inning and
containing an area of 29,443 square feet.
PARCEL 2
BEING A PORTION OF LOT 24, KAAO HOMESTEADS, GRANT 7782 TO
JOHN S. TEIXEIRA
KAAO HOMESTEADS,.HAMAKUA, HAVAII
Beginning at the Southwest corner of this parcel of'land,
which is also the Southeast corner of Executive Order No. 408,
Honokaa School Grounds, the coordinates of said point of beginning
referred to Government Survey Triangulation Station "KAAO" being
183.50 feet North and 405.81 feet East and running by-azimuths
measured clockwise from true South;
1) 197° 32f 49.60 feet along a portion of Executive Order.
No. 408, Honokaa School Grounds to the
Southwest corner of a ten ( l0.OQ) foot
Government Roadway;
2) 294° 58t 10.08 feet along the southerly side of a ten
(10.00) foot Government Roadway to 'the
Southwest corner of Lot 1, Kaao House
Lots, Grant 7782 to John S. Teixeira;
3) 17° 32T 50.04 feet;
4) 117° 241 10.15 feet along the northerly'side of a thirty
(30.00) foot roadway to the point of
beginning and containing an area of
498 square feet.
II.
That, in the process of said proceedings in eminent domain,
said County Attorney be and he is hereby authorized and empowered
to negotiate terms of settlement, subject to the approval of this
Board and of the Court before which such proceedings are prosecuted.
