COUNTY OF HAWAII - STATE OF HAWAII
RESOLUTION NO. 137
A RESOLUTION AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 521 OF 1964, AS AMENDED,
ESTABLISHING AND DESIGNATING SAFETY ZONES, QUIET ZONES, TRAFFIC
LANES, CROSSWALKS, AND LOADING ZONES IN THE COUNTY OF HAWAII,
STATE OF HAWAII.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS IN AND FOR
THE COUNTY OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. Section 6 (Passenger Loading and Unloading
Zones.) is hereby amended in the following respects:
a. By deleting the sentence reading as follows:
L "For the provisions of this section, all

passenger loading and unloading zones
mentioned herein shall be 25 feet in length."
b. By amending subsection Q to read as follows:
"Q. On waianuenue Avenue makai of Hilo
1'GJ Intermediate School exit driveway toward
q Laimana Street from 7:15 a.m. to 8:00 a.m.
and from 1:30 p.m. to 3:00 P.m. on school
days only."
c. By adding a new subsection R to read as
follows;
11R. On the Puna side of Hualalai Street,
~tz between Ululani Street and Kinoole Street,
at a point 66 feet mauka of Kinoole Street,
extending for 209 feet in the mauka
direction, from 7:15 a.m. to 8:00 a.m.

SECTION 2. Section 7 is hereby amended to read as
follows..
"Section 7.
It shall•be unlawful for the
operator of any vehicle to stop, stand, or park
PLA)r"-said vehicle-in any of the aforesaid

and unloading zones for other than the expeditious
unloading and delivery or pickup and loading of
freight or passengers between the hours from 7:00 a.m.
to 4:00 p.m. of every day except Sundays, public
holidays and days when said freight loading and
unloading zones are not in effect as indicated by
signs erected at said zones."
SECTION 3. This resolution shall take effect upon its
approval.
