RESOLUTION NO. 140
A RESOLUTION INCREASING THE MEMBERSHIP OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
FOR KONA HOSPITAL.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS in and for
the County of Hawaii that the membership of the Board of

Trustees for Kona Hospital, as provided in Resolution No. 18,
adopted January 24, 1957, and Resolution No. 59, adopted
February 20, 19632 be and is hereby further increased from
nine (9) to eleven (11) members.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the increase of two (2)
members of the'Board.of Trustees for Kona Hospital shall be
with the approval of the Board of Supervisors, appointed as
follows;
(a) One (1) member of the Board of Trustees shall be
appointed for a term ending"at noon on January 2, 1966.
(b) One (1) member of the Board of Trustees shall be
appointed for a term ending at noon on January 2, 1967-
(c) Thereafter all appointments shall be for two (2)
years from the date of expiration of the term for which the
gr
predecessors were appointed, and until their successors are
appointed and qualified. Any vacancy shall be filled by
appointment for the remainder of the unexpired term.
BE'IT FURTHER RESOLVED that other than the increase in
the membership of the Board of Trustees for Kona Hospital and
provisions relating to initial appointments and terms, all
other provisions of Resolution No. 18, adopted January 24,
1957, and Resolution No. 59, adopted February 20, 1963, are
hereby deemed to be effective.
