HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES 163 Draft 01 1965 q . COUNTY OF HAWAII - STATE OF HAWAII RESOLUTION NO. 163 RESOLUTION CREATING DISTRICT ADVISORY COMMITTEES TO THE COUNTY TRAFFIC COMMISSION. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS in and for the County of Hawaii that advisory committees to the County Traffic Commission in the City of Hilo and the districts of Puna, North and South Hilo (excluding the City of Hilo), Hamakua, North and South Kohala, North and South Kona, and Kau, as delineated in Sections 10-1 and 146-11 Revised Laws of Hawaii 1955, be hereby created to assist'..the County Traffic Commission in an advisory capacity relating to all matters pertaining to traffic regulations and other related matters within the respective districts. Each advisory committee shall be composed of seven (7) members who /~/rte shall be appointed by the Chairman and Executive Officer of the Cr Board of Supervisors with the approval of the Board of Supervisors. Each person appointed to an advisory committee shall be a resident ,q, C"/ xd' of the respective district for which he is appointed. The members of an advisory committee shall serve without pay, but may be reimbursed for any traveling expenses incurred in the performance of their official duties. Each advisory committee shall select its own chairman from the members thereof to serve for a year. Meetings shall be called at the discretion of the chairman. The term of office of the members of each advisory committee shall be three (3) years; provided, however, that on the first appointment under the'provi-sions of-this resolution, four (4) members shall be appointed for a term expiring January 1, 1967, and three (3) members for a term expiring January 1, 1968; thereafter every appointment shall be made for a term of three (3) years commencing r t.%'.;s c 0..... 1A. 13. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that any and all prior approval given by this Board for the formation of advisory committees to the County Traffic Commission is hereby rescinded. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the County Clerk is hereby directed to send a copy of this resolution to the County Traffic Commission. Dated at Hilo, Hawaii, this 2nd day of June, 1965.
