COUNTY OF HAWAII - STATE OF HAWAII
RESOLUTION NO. 194
NAMING OF A PUBLIC HIGHWAY IN NORTH KONA, COUNTY OF HAWAII,
STATE OF HAWAII.
WHEREAS, the Public Works Committee of the Board of
Supervisors in and for the County of Hawaii has duly considered
and therefore recommends the name "Hawaii Belt Road-Keauhou-
Kainaliu Section" for a road which shall be completed between
Kainaliu and Keauhou, North Kona, County of Hawaii, State of
Hawaii; and
J WHEREAS, the State Department of Transportation is in
~'f3 substantial agreement with the aforesaid name;' and
WHEREAS, the new road is intended to be a segment of the

Hawaii Belt Road and the federal aid primary,system on the island
of Hawaii, and it does not follow the existing Mamalahoa Road;
and
WHEREAS, designation of the new road as "Hawaii Belt Road-
Keauhou-Kainaliu Sectiorf'is an appropriate name,
NOvST, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
in and for the County of Hawaii that the new road located in
North Kona, County of Hawaii, State of Hawaii, known as Keauhou-
Kainaliu Section of Project No. F-011-1(4), State of Hawaii, be
named "Hawaii Belt Road-Keauhou-Kainaliu Section."
