HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES 210 Draft 01 1965 COUNTY OF HAWAII - STATE OF HAWAII RESOLUTION NO. 210 WHEREAS, by Committee Report No. 20 the Finance Committee recommended the creation of three temporary as needed positions of Student Engineer at the rate of $1.50 C'-79~ ? per -hour for students who have completed one year at the university and at the rate of $1.75 per hour for students who have completed two years at the university and at the rate of $2.00 per hour for students who have completed -three or more years at the university in the Bureau of Plans and Surveys of the Department of Public Works [`Section 8.18 (b)] and assignment of one position to the Department of Parks and Recreation; and Cf~. WHEREAS, by Committee Report No. 21 the Finance Committee recommended the creation of three temporary as needed positions of Student Engineer at the rate of $1.50 per hour for students who have completed one year at the university, at the rate of $1.75 per hour for students who have completed two years at the university and at the rate of $2.00 per hour for students who have completed three or more years at the university in the Bureau of Plans and Surveys of the Department of Public Works [Section 8.18 (b)]; and WHEREAS, by Committee Report No. 21 the Finance Committee ~.3 fur.ther.recommended the creation.of two temporary as needed position's of Student Draftsman at the rate of $1.50 per hour for students who have completed one year or more at a vocational and/or a technical school in the Bureau of Plans and 'Surveys of the Department of Public Works [Section 8.18 (b)] and Res. assignment of one position to the Department of County File No....._......... WHEREAS, the, Board of Supervisors is desirous of creating four temporary as needed positions of Student Engineers at -the rate of $1.50 per hour for students who have completed one year at the university, at the rate of $1.75 per hour for students who have completed two years at the university and at the rate of $2.00 per hour for students who have completed three or more years at the university in the Bureau of Plans and Surveys of the Department of Public Works ['Section 8.18 (b) and WHEREAS, by Committee Report No. 20 the Finance Committee recommended the abolition of one position of Road Construction and Maintenance Foreman SR-15 in the Bureau of Road Construction and Maintenance in the Department of Public Works, South Hilo [Section 8.18 (e-1)]; and WHEREAS, by said Committee Report No. 20 the Finance Committee approved the recommendation of the Civil 'Service Department to reallocate three positions of Sewage Pump Station Operator SR-12 to Sewage Treatment Plant Operator II SR-12 in the Bureau of Sewers and Sanitation of the Department of Public Works [Section 8.18 (d)]. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF 'SUPERVIISORS in and for the County of Hawaii that the following positions are hereby created, abolished and reallocated in the Department of Public Works: Bureau of Plans and Surveys [Section 8.18 (b)]. Create ten positions of Student Engineer (temporary as needed) at the rate of $1.50 per hour for students who have completed one year at the university; at the rate of $1.75 per hour for students who have completed two years at the university and at the rate of $2.00 per hour for students who have completed three or more years at the university. (Assign one osition to the Department of Parks and Recreation. .No.._._........... 8. No. 0 O Create two positions of Student Draftsman (temporary as needed) at the rate of $1.50 per hour for students who have completed one year or more at a vocational and/or a technical school. (Assign one position to the Department of County Planning Commission.) Bureau of Road Construction and Maintenance, South Hilo [Section 8.18 (e-1)]. Abolish one position of Road Construction and Maintenance Foreman SR-15. Bureau of Sewers and Sanitation [Section 8.18 (d)]. Reallocate three positions of Sewage Pump 'Station Operator SR-12 to Sewage Treatment Plant Operator II SR-12. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that when the Salary Ordinance is next amended the positions hereinabove created, abolished and reallocated be noted therein. BE. IT FURTHER RESOLVED that County of Hawaii Resolution No. 191 is hereby repealed. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this resolution be transmitted to the Departments of Public Works, County. Chairman, Parks and Recreation, County Planning Commission, Civil Service, County Auditor and County Attorney for their information. Dated at Hilo, Hawaii, this 7th day of July, 1965.
