Comm. 637: AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 14, ARTICLE 1, SECTION 14-1 OF
(Bill 180) THE HAWAII COUNTY CODE 1983 (2005 EDITION, AS AMENDED),
RELATING TO INTOXICATING LIQUORS PROHIBITED IN CERTAIN PUBLIC
PLACES (adds La`aloa Bay Beach Park to the list of areas prohibiting intoxicating
liquors)
From Councilmember Brenda J. Ford, dated December 2, 2009, transmitting the above
bill.
Recommend passage of Bill 180 on first reading.

Comm. 638: AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 14, ARTICLE 1, SECTION 14-2.2 AND
(Bill 181) SECTION 14-2 OF THE HAWAII COUNTY CODE 1983 (2005 EDITION, AS
AMENDED), RELATING TO CONSUMPTION OF INTOXICATING LIQUORS AT
PARKS (removes Kahalu`u Beach Park, Magic Sands Beach Park, and Pahoehoe
Beach Park from the list of areas allowing intoxicating liquors and adds them to the list
of areas requiring permits for intoxicating liquors)

Hawaii County Council will be conducting this Committee meeting via videoconference.

• County Councilroom, Hawaii County Building, 25 Aupuni Street, Hilo.
Public Attendance Via Videoconferencing is available at the locations above and at the Waimea Council
Office at the Holomua Center, 64-1067 Mamalahoa Highway, Suite 5 until 4:30 p.m., or later in the
event public witness testimony has not been completed. If audio stream between Kona and Hilo is lost
for more than a short period of time, the meeting will be terminated.

copies for distribution. Testimony may also be submitted before 12:00 noon on the business day
