COUNTY OF HAWAII - STATE OF HAWAII
RESOLUTION NO. 238
RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE GOVERNOR OF THE STATE OF HAWAII TO
RELEASE FUNDS FOR THE WAIAKEA PENINSULA SEWER PROJECT IN THE
COUNTY OF HAWAII.
WHEREAS, Section 1-S-5 of Act 1951 Session Laws of Hawaii
1965, provides for the appropriation of $1501000 for the Sewer
Construction Project--Waiakea Peninsula Area in the County of
Hawaii; and
WHEREAS, the County of Hawaii desires to proceed with the
necessary preparation of plans for the sewer project as soon as
possible,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
in and for the County of Hawaii that the Honorable John A. Burns,
Governor of the State of Hawaii, be and is hereby respectfully
requested to make available to the County of Hawaii the sum of
$150,000 for the Sewer Construction Project--Waiakea Peninsula
Area in the County of Hawaii, pursuant to the provisions of
Section 1-S-5, Act 1951 Session Laws of Hawaii 1965.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the County Clerk be and she
is hereby directed to send copies of this resolution to the
Honorable John A. Burns, Governor of the State of Hawaii, to
the Honorable Shelley Mark, Director of the Department of
Planning and Economic Development, and to the Honorable
Andrew F. Ing, Director of Finance, for their favorable
consideration.
