COUNTY OF HAWAII - STATE OF HAWAII
RESOLUTION NO. 250
WHEREAS, Section 1, Item D-7-j of Act 52, Session Laws
of Hawaii 1964, appropriated $225,000 to be expended by the
County of Hawaii for completion of the third phase of
Konawaena High School (secondary school to include specialty
building); and
WHEREAS, the County of Hawaii deemed it imperative and
necessary to proceed with construction of the aforesaid
project, although said appropriation was not released by the
Governor, by drawing on and encumbering the Hawaii County
Building Fund; and
WHEREAS, with the imminence of letting of contracts
for the Hawaii County Building, the sum heretofore drawn
from the building fund to complete the aforesaid Konawaena
School project must be restored to insure the availability
of appropriated funds in order to award said contracts,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
in and for the County of Hawaii that it does respectfully.
request the Honorable John A. Burns, Governor of the State
of Hawaii, to release the sum of $225,000 heretofore alloted
the County of Hawaii for the Konawaena School project,
pursuant to Section 1, Item D-7-j, Act 52, Session Laws of
Hawaii 1964.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the County Clerk is hereby
instructed to send copies of this resolution to the Honorable
John A. Burns., Governor of the State of Hawaii, the Honorable
Shelley Mark, Director of the Department of Planning and
