ORDINANCE N0.99 135
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 24, OF THE HAWAII COUNTY CODE 1983
(1995 EDITION), RELATING TO VEHICLES AND TRAFFIC.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. Chapter 24, article 10, division 1, section 24-253, schedule 1 (10 mile per
hour limit), subsection (g) Puna, of the Hawaii County Code 1983 (1995 edition), is amended by
adding the following to be appropriately numbered and to read as follows:
~ O~ihikao-Kamaili Road. between points 2.8 and 3.0 miles makai of Route
130.
SECTION 2. Chapter 24, article 10, division 1, section 24-255, schedule 3 (25 mile per
hour limit), subsection (g) Puna, of the Hawaii County Code 1983 (1995 edition), is amended by
adding the following to be appropriately numbered and to read as follows:
f,~ Onihikao-Kamaili Road, between points 1.1 and 2.8 miles makai of Route
130.
u Ooihikao-Kamaili Road. between a point 3 miles makai of Route 130 and
Route 137.
~ Pohoiki Road, between a point 1.55 miles makai of Route 132 and Route
137.
SECTION 3. Chapter 24, article 10, division 1, section 24-257, schedule 5 (35 mile per
hour limit), subsection (g) Puna, of the Hawaii County Code 1983 (1995 edition), is amended by
adding the following to be appropriately numbered and to read as follows:
~ Onihikao-Kamaili Road, between Route 130 and a point 1.1 miles in the
makai direction.
f,~ Pohoiki Road, between Route 132 and a point 1.55 miles in the makai
direction.
SECTION 4. New material is underscored. In printing this ordinance, the underscoring
need not be included.

SECTION 5. If any provision of this ordinance, or the application thereof to any person
or circumstance, is held invalid, such invalidity shall not affect other provisions or applications
of the ordinance which can be given effect without the invalid provision or application, and to
this end, the provisions of this ordinance are declared to be severable.
SECTION 6. This ordinance shall take effect upon its approval.
