Aloha Council Members, I am grateful for my protected
right of "Free Speech," and your time and attention to
listen to my views on this resolution 237-09.
I was in attendance at the first Counsel meeting for this
resolution and happy to speak as an advocate for it. I
stayed after the public testimony to hear the member's
opinions towards it and was pleased to see it move
forward.
There were two issues of the "follow up" discussions that
I would like to speak to. The first being the fact no one
was brought in to speak as in defense of vaccine
programs. A missed opportunity I might agree, but; it was
also stated that even if there had been, it would all get
rehashed at the state level.
Such a debate will look like this, Profession&on both
sides with an alphabet soup of acronyms behind their
names spewing medical jargon each with their case
studies and proof positive of their claims, with
contemptuous attitudes towards the inarticulate laity.
Please don't waste this Councils valuable time with this
dog and pony show only to have it replayed in Honolulu.

The real heart of the matter at hand is the sovereignty
over one's own body. Can the State, Federal Government
or some outside world Health Organization circumvent
the U.S. Constitution and forcibly inject me with a
vaccine, or incarcerate me with my civil liberties revoked.
The very thought of it should be morally repugnant to
every American.
This is not communist China, where the collective good is
invoked in order to violate human rights and devalue the
rights of the individual: this is America where we have a
choice to determine what's best for ourselves and our
children's health!
There is No freedom without the freedom to say NO !
More and more the Federal Government is signing treaties
and directives that Congress or the people never get to
debate, ratify, or weight against the Constitution. They
send down unfunded mandates, and pass programs with
the bad taste of collectivism, moving farther and farther
away from limited Government and the Enforcement of
our Constitutional Rights.

If we "as the people" working together with small
Government entities such as yourselves; don't start
putting them on notice with resolutions like this one,
stating in essence "Don't tread on our civil liberties" your
positions will, in the not so distant future will be that of
only Administration.
My nekt issue is "T"ime is of the essence" I disagree with
the thought that it was not. Every day this swine flu fear
mongering gets louder and louder. Already the WHO has
declared a bevel 6 pandemic alert, their highest level.
Also, the foot is in the door for some kind of
unconstitutional health care program, with who knows
what to be written amongst the hundreds of pages.
It's time to put the State and the Fed on notice; that our
civil liberties will not be violated.
"Time is of the essence."
