Subject: County Council Meetings
Aloha, council members all,
I believe that it is important that the county council meetings be
held for alternating months in Kona and Hilo. I believe in balanced
and fair governance for all of the island citizens. But, this is
the most logical arrangement as yet.
Ideally, video cams should be available for all districts so
everybody has a chance to speak and be heard. I live in Ka'u, and I
am not aware of a video cam set-up for our Ka'u citizens to be heard
and to hear in real time whattranspires during our council meetings.
Having the council meetings in Kona for 12 sessions per year is an
appropriate expectation. Please continue to provide for
Kona's access.
