Subject: For 265 Resolution and representative government

Honorable Council Members,
Please support Resolution 265 to protect Hawai'i's home rule authority relating to Ag policy,
including GMO's.
County Council is not a popularity contest in high school; you are involved in the serious
process of government of one of the most vital islands on the planet. Show some nobility.
Pull yourselves together. Learn from seasoned council members Ford, Hoffman, and Yagong
how to make decisions based on the common good and cohere a vision that works for all
Hawaiians.
Give us thoughtful, wise action. Isn't this what you want to be remembered for? I don't think
you'd want to be remembered as the council that stopped listening to the electorate and
sold irreplaceable Hawaiian lands much of which is not yours to sell! to the highest
bidder at discount prices for short-term gain against the wishes of our people!
