COUNTY OF HAWAII - STATE OF HAWAII
RESOLUTION NO. 343
WHEREAS, the long daylight hours during the summer may
be more efficiently utilized by allocating the longer, cool
morning hours for gainful employment and the longer afternoon
hours for relaxation and recreation: and
WHEREAS, the efficient allocation of the longer summer
hours may be established by providing for daylight saving
time by advancing the time of the day an hour ahead:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
in and for the County of Hawaii that it hereby requests the Third
State Legislature of the State of Hawaii to provide for the more
efficient utilization of our daylight hours during the summer
py providing by legislation for Daylight Saving Time.
BE IT FURI'HER RESOLVED that a copy., of.- this resolution be
forwarded to the President of the Senate and the Speaker of
the House of Representatives of the Third State Legislature
of the State of Hawaii.
