RESOLUTION NO. 349
vrHEREAS, the passing of ROBERT KEOLA KAtillKUA is a
grievous loss; and
\1HEREAS, [-COBERT KEOL.A. KAHAKUA served the County of
Hawaii with distinction for 37 years until his retirement
from public service; and
vJHEREAS, ROBELtT KEOL.A. KARAKUA served wi th the County
Fire Department for 272years, of which 15 years were as
Fire Chief in which office he provided effective leadership
and efficient fire protection to the people of the County of
Hawaii; and
WHEREAS, FIRE CHIEF ROBEJ."'{T KEOU. KAHAKlJA vIas beloved,
respected and admired by all who knew and worked with him.
NO\'lfl THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
in and for the County of Hawaii that it does hereby express ~ts
sympathy on the untimely passing of said FIRE CHIEF ROBERT
KEOLA KAH.I\K.UA and express i ts heartfelt condolences to the
surviving members of his family;
BE IT FURTHEI( RESOLVED that the County C~erk: be and is_.
