APPROVING THE COMPLETED PLANNING DOCUMENTS PREPARED WITH AN ADVANCE-
FROM THE UNITED STATES,OF AMERICA.UNDER THE TERMS OF PUBLIC LAW 560,
83rd CONGRESS OF THE UNITED STATES, AS AMENDED
WHEREAS, the Board of Water Supply of the County of Hawaii
accepted an offer from the United States Government for an advance for
preparation of planning documents pertaining to certain public works
generally described as follows:
1. Improvements to the North Kona Water Reserve;
2. Additional 2-mg. storage tank for Kona, North Kona;
3. Waiohinu Pipeline replacement, Kau;
4. Holualoa Pipeline Extension, North Kona;
5. Haihai St.-Panaewa Pipeline, City of Hilo;
6. Kurtistown Homesteads Pipeline Extension, Kurtistown, Puna;
and
WHEREAS, the Board of Water Supply of the County of Hawaii
prepared the planning documents for the aforesaid public works, and
has completed the documents and submitted them for approval; and
WHEREAS, the completed planning documents have been carefully
studied and are considered to comprise adequate planning of the public
works essential to the community and within the financial ability of the
Board of Water Supply of the County of Hawaii to construct;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Supervisors of
the County of Hawaii, the governing body of said applicant, that the
planning documents submitted by the Board of Water Supply of the County
of Hawaii as the basis for construction of the above-mentioned water
works projects, in connection with Housing and Home Finance Agency
Project No. TH 51-P-3013 be and the same are hereby approved; and
that certified copies of this resolution be filed with the Housing

I, the undersigned, duly qualified Clerk of the County of
Hawaii and the keeper of the records of said County of Hawaii,
including the journal of proceedings of the Chairman & Executive
Officer and Board of Supervisors, do hereby certify:
1. That the attached resolution is a true and correct
copy of the resolution as finally adopted at a meeting of the
governing body on the 4th day of w February , 1959, and
duly recorded in my office;
2. That said meeting was duly convened and held in all
respects in accordance with law and to the extent required by law
due and proper notice of such meeting was given; that a legal quorum
was present throughout the meeting, and a legally sufficient number
of members of the governing body voted in the proper manner and for
the adoption of said resolution; that all other requirements and
proceedings under the law incident to the proper adoption or
passage of said resolution, including publication, if required,
have been duly fulfilled, carried out, and otherwise observed; and
