COUNTY OF HAWAII - TERRITORY OF HAWAII
RESOLUTION NO. 40
WHEREAS, the Chief Engineer of the Department of Public
Works of the County of Hawaii has recommended the following;
Hamakua District
Abolish one position of Laborer II, SR-5 ('Section
8.25 (e) 6 of the Salary Ordinance of 1958), and create one
position of Equipment Operator I, SR-7.
Kohala District
Abolish one position of Laborer I, SR-3 (Section
8.25 (h) 7 of the Salary Ordinance of 1958), and create one
position of Equipment Operator I, SR-7-
Kau District
Abolish one position of Equipment Operator I,
SR-7 ('Section 8.25 (f ) 5 of the Salary Ordinance of 1958),
and create one position of Equipment Operator II, SR-9.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Supervisors,
in and for the County of Hawaii, that Section 8.25 (e) 6,
Section 8.25 (h) 7 and Section 8.25 (f) 5 of the Salary
Ordinance of 1958, being Ordinance No. 200 of the Ordinances
of County of Hawaii, be amended in the following respects;
Hamakua District
Eliminate one position of Laborer II, SR-5, and
create one position of Equipment Operator I, SR-7-
Kohala District
Eliminate one position of Laborer I, SR-3, and
create one position of Equipment Operator I, SR-7-

Eliminate one position of Equipment Operator I,
SR-7, and create one position of Equipment Operator II, SR-9.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the County of
Hawaii be and he is hereby authorized and directed to forward
a copy each of this,resolution to the Departments of Civil
Service, Public-Works and County Auditor for their information.
