COUNTY OF HAWAII -'TERRITORY OF HAWAII
RESOLUTION NO. S S"
WHEREAS, on or about the ;th day of March, 1959, Uncle
George Lycurgus will be celebrating the 100th anniversary of
his arrival into this wonderful world of ours; and
WHEREAS, Uncle George has spent more than half a century
of his adult life creating for himself and our people a symbol
of warm-hearted hospitality that is renowned throughout the
world; and
WHEREAS, the contributions Uncle George has made to our
culture and economy and our way of life has endeared hire to
the hearts of everyone; and
WHEREAS, it is not only a happy occasion for, but
certainly is most fitting and proper that, the citizens and.'
the administration of the County and Territory of Hawaii
express their feelings in the matter.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS,
in and for the County of Hawaii, that this Board extend to
Uncle George Lycurgus its deepest appreciation for having
selected the County and Territory of Hawaii for his permanent
residence, and to wish him a very happy birthday with continued
good health, wisdom, and youthful vigor.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the County of
Hawaii be and he is hereby authorized and directed to forward
a copy of this Resolution to uncle George Lycurgus,
Dated at'Hilo, Hawaii, this hth day of ,March, 1959.
