HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES 081 Draft 01 1959 COUNTY OF HAWAII - TERRITORY OF HAWAII RESOLUTION NO. 81 WHEREAS, the week of March 15 through 21 is being observed across the nation as National Wildlife Week to stimulate public action and awareness to the pressing problem of providing proper care and protection for our national resources and wildlife; and WHEREAS, the Chairman and Executive Officer of the County of Hawaii has proclaimed and set aside said week as a time to further the objectives of conservation training and practices through public understanding and support; and WHEREAS, it is fitting and appropriate that the people of this county reaffirm their faith in the purposes and objectives of the National Wildlife Federation and the necessity for public awareness of the conservation problem. NOW, THEREFORE; BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Supervisors in and for the County of Hawaii, that this Board reaffirm its faith in the responsibilities of this stewardship. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the people of this county be and they are hereby urged, by means of publicity and other activities, to demonstrate their faith in this program. and to further the objective of a more informed citizenry as a means to better conservation practices.
