RES()LUTION NO. 91
WHEREAS, the Lord. Almighty has chosen to remove.
from our midst FAR.Wf T L. TURNER esteemed citizen, patriot,
statesman' and gentleman of the finest order; and
WHEREAS, the County of Hawaii zealously cherishes
the distinction of having nurtured the said FARRANT L..
TURNER during the impressionable tender years of his
childhood,;,the impact of this environment being reflected
in his accomplishments and contributions to society in
his rise to public acclaim and eminence; and
C ERDIS, the said FARRANT L. TURINER, wise, fearless,
and discerning leader of men, guided young citizens-<)f.
Hawaii to new recognition and respect by distinguishing
himself and his charges on the battlefields of ivar; and.
WHEREAS, the sterling qualities of the said FARRdiT
L. ` UR14ER inevitably carried him to lofty heights in
the business world and culminated in service to govern-.
Vieni as Secretary of Hawaii and as Administrator of the
Small Business Administration, wherein he devoted himself
ably,and,unselflessly; and
, , , WHEREA , . the passing of the said FARRITT Lo TURNER
i s . a . great loss not only to his family and friends but
also,to the Territory and community which he so ably
and devotedly served; and
1KHEREAS, the passing of the said FARRANT L. TURNER
is deeply regretted by the Chairman and Members of this
Board of Supervisors,
