COUNTY OF HAWAII - TERRITORY OF HAWAII
RESOLUTION NO. 11
RESOLUTION DETERMINING REAL PROPERTY TAX RATE FOR THE
COUNTY OF HAWAII FOR THE CALENDAR YEAR 1959.
WHEREAS, Act 1 of the Special Session Laws of Hawaii
1957 provides, that the board of supervisors of the county
of Hawaii shall determine the rate at which real property
in the county of Hawaii shall be taxed; and
WHEREAS, the amount to be raised from real property
tax for the calendar year 1959 for general fund use is
$1,563,106.46; and
WHEREAS, in determining the property tax rate, the
board of supervisors has taken as the basis for calculation
$94,733,725.00 as the aggregate value of taxable real
property as assessed for tax purposes as of April 20, 1959,
certified and furnished by the Territorial Tax Commissioner.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the board of
supervisors of the county of Hawaii that the rate at
which real property of the county shall be taxed for the
calendar year 1959 be, and is hereby determined at $16.50
per $1,000.00 of assessed value of real property, based
on $1,563,106.46 for general fund use of the county of
Hawaii; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a certified copy of this
resolution be transmitted by the county clerk to the
Territorial Tax Commissioner as required by law.
