COUNTY OF HAWAII - TERRITORY OF HAWAII
RESOLUTION NO. 132
WHEREAS, by committee report No. 31, the Public Works
Committee has recommended the creation of a new position of
Laborer I (SR-3) in the Bureau of Road Construction and
Maintenance of the Department of Public Works in the North
and South Kona Districts; and
WHEREAS, by the same committee report No. 31 the
Public Works Committee has also recommended the elimination
of the position of Equipment Operator II (SR-9) in the Bureau
of Road Construction and Maintenance of the Department of
Public Works in the North and South Kona Districts;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Super-
visors of the County of Hawaii that the new position of
Laborer I (SR-3) is hereby created and the position of Equip-
ment Operator II (SR-9) is hereby abolished, both positions
being in the Bureau of Road Construction and Maintenance of
the Department of Public Works in the North and South-Kona
Districts; and that the Chief Engineer be authorized to fill
the new position by appointment in accordance with the rules
and regulations of the Civil Service Commission, and to pay
to the employee selected, compensation as provided by law;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that when the Salary Ordinance
is next amended, the positions herein above created and
abolished be incorporated therein;
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the County Clerk be
directed to forward a copy each of this resolution to the
