COUNTY OF HAWAII - TERRITORY OF HAWAII
RESOLUTION NO. 144

WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 440 of the County and
Territory of Hawaii, dated June 4, 1958, the issuance
and sale of Nine Hundred Thousand Dollars ($900,000)
bonds at this time, and to apply Six Hundred Fifty
,Thousand Dollars ($650,000) of the proceeds for public
building purposes, and Two Hundred Fifty Thousand
Dollars ($250,000) of the proceeds for public parks
purposes was authorized; and
WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 453 of the County and
Territory of Hawaii, Three Hundred Twenty-Two Thousand
Dollars ($322,000) of the said sum of Six Hundred
Fifty Thousand Dollars ($650,000) earmarked for public
building purposes by said Resolution No. 440 was set
aside for the construction and improvement of the
Puumaile and Hilo .Memorial Hospital; and
WHEREAS, an additional sum of Seventy-nine
Thousand Five.Hundred and Thirty Dollars ($79,530.00)
is required to award the entire project as planned
to the lowest bidder, and that it is urgently recommended
by the County Engineer of the County of Hawaii that
said additional sum be made available,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF
SUPERVISORS' OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that Seventy-nine
Thousand Five Hundred and Thirty Dollars ($79,530.00)
of the remaining balance of the said Six Hundred _
J\ Fifty Thousand Dollars ($650,000) set aside by Resolution
No. 440 for public building purposes be and is hereby
