COUNTY OF HAWAII - STATE OF HAWAII
RESOLUTION NO. 260
CREATING SPECIAL COMMITTEE TO BE KNOWN AS THE SCHOOL AFFAIRS
COMMITTEE.
WHEREAS, the creation of a special committee to be known
as the "School Affairs Committee" will facilitate and expedite
transactions of business relating to school affairs by and
between this Board of Supervisors and the Dept. of Public
Instruction; and
WHEREAS, the part played by the County of Hawaii in the
operation and maintenance of our schools within the County of
Hawaii is so diverse as to warrant closer cooperation by and
between this Board of supervisors and the Dept. of Public
Instruction,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
of the County of Hawaii that a special committee of this Board
of Supervisors to be known as the "School Affairs Committee"
be and it is hereby created.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the following members of
this Board of Supervisors be and they are hereby appointed
members of the said "School Affairs Committee" with Supervisor
Hiroshi Tanaka as its chairman:
Hiroshi Tanaka - Chairman
Elias P..Yadao
William Thompson
