RESOLUTION NO. 277
WHEREAS, on November 18, 1959, the Board of Supervisors
of the County of Hatraii adopted Finance Committee Report No. 76,
recommending salary increases to certain county officers
effective July 1, 1959,
NOW1 THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF,'SUPERVISORS
of the County of Hawaii that the salaries of the following
county officers are hereby fixed by the following annual rates:
POSITIONS PER ANNUM
Chief Engineer, Department of Public Works $12,000.00

lst Deputy County Attorney 10,500.00
Planning Director 91400.00
Purchasing Agent 9,000.00

First Deputy County Clerk 9,000.00
Superintendent, Kona Hospital 7,200.00
Superintendent, Kohala Hospital 7,200.00

Manager-Promoter,` Hilo Civic Auditorium 7,000.00
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the new salaries, effective
July 1, 1959, be incorporated into the Salary Ordinance when
it is next amended.'

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the County auditor is
hereby requested to transfer the necessary amount from the
General Fund to the proper accounts of the various departments
for the payment of the increase in salaries.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the County Clerk be directed
to forward a copy each of this resolution to the departments
of County Auditor, Civil Service, County attorney and the
departments affected by the salary increases for their
information.
