COUNTY OF HAWAII - STATE OF HAWAII
RESOLUTION NO. 279
WHEREAS, on November 18, 1959, the Board. of Supervisors
of the County of Hawaii approved Finance Committee Report No. 72,
recommending the following;
1. County Auditor's Office (Section 8,04)
Creation of one permanent position of Clerk-Typist
SR-8 and elimination of one position of Clerk SR-7 in the
Department of County Auditor.
2. Puumaile and Hilo Memorial Hospital, Puumaile Division
/-Section 8.12 (b)
Elimination of twenty-six positions hereinafter more
particularly described from the Department of Puumaile and
Hilo Memorial Hospital, Puumaile Division.
3. Parks and Recreation Section 8.26 (h)_]
Creation of one position of Park Caretaker SR-3 on
a half time basis in the Department of Parks and Recreation.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
of the County of Hawaii that the Salary Ordinance of 1959,
Ordinance No. 207 of the Ordinance-s of the County of Hawaii,
be amended in the following respects:
1. County Auditor's Office (Section 8.04)
Creation of one permanent position of Clerk-Typist
SR-'8 and elimination of one position of Clerk SR-7.
2. Puumaile and Hilo Memorial Hospital, Puumaile Division
LSection 8.12 (b)]
Eliminate the following positions therein:
1 position of Head Nurse SR-13
7 9 positions of Practical Nurse SR-7

1 position of Laundry Helper SR-1
1 position of Seamstress II SR-5
9 positions of Kitchen Helper SR-2
26 positions
3. Parks and Recreation [Section 8.26 (b)-]
Creation of one position of Park Caretaker SR-3 on
a half (2) time basis.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the County Clerk be directed
to forward a copy each of this resolution to the Departments
of County Auditor, Puumaile and Hilo Memorial Hospital, Parks
and Recreation, Civil Service and County Attorney for their
information.
