WAIVING CERTAIN PROVISIONS OF ORDINANCE NO. 103, AS
AMENDED.
WHEREAS,.on March 1.9, 1958, the Board of Supervisors
of the County'of Hawaii adopted Resolution No. 368,
providing free transportation to high school students
residing three (3) or more miles from schools for the
duration of the current economic situation; and
WHEREAS, there is a shortage of school busses
meeting all the requirements of ordinance number.103,
as amended, relating to the construction and equipment
of school busses,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF
SUPERVISORS of the County of Hawaii that certain provisions,
of Ordinance No. 103, as am ended,.-hereinafter to be.
enumerated be and they are hereby waived with respect to
school busses transporting students pursuant to the
provisions of Resolution No. 368 for the duration of the
current economic situation;
Section 2 (d) (relating to doors);
Section 2 (e) (relating-to emergency doors);
Section 2 (o) (relating to screen).
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the County Clerk be
hereby instructedand directed to send a copy each of this
resolution to the Purchasing Agent,'the Department of
Public Instruction, Hilo Division and to the Hilo Police
Department.
