COUNTY OF HAWAII - TERRITORY OF HAWAII
RESOLUTION NO.
WHEREAS, there existed a state of emergency due to
the acute watez, I shortage in the District of Kona, County
and Territory of Hawaii; and
W1,1ER:EAS, it was essential for the health, safety and
welfare of the citizens of Kona that water be trarisported
to Kona; arid
V1H:EREAS, the Board of Water Supply, City and County
of Honolulu, rendered generous assistance' in combating
the said emergency; and
WHEREAS, it is fitting and proper that the citizens
and the administration of the County of Hawaii show,
in some marrnex, their heartfelt appreciation for the kind
consideration and assistance rendered by the Board of Water
Supply, City and County of Honolulu, during the crisis.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF
SUPERVISORS in and for the County of Hawaii,` that this
Board extend tojthe Board of Water_ Supply, City and County
of Honolulu, its sincere appreciation and heartfelt thanks
for their significant contribution during a state of
emergency in Kona, County of Hawaii.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the County Clerk be andr
he is hereby authorized and directed to forward a copy
of this resolutiion to the Board of Water Supply, City

and County of Honolulu and to Mr. Edward J. Morgan,
Manager and Chief .Engineer, Board of Water Supply,
