COUNTY OF HAWAII - TERRITORY OF HAWAII
(RESOLUTION NO.
RESOLUTION DETERMINING REAL PROPERTY TAX RATE FOR THE
COUNTY OF HAWAIIiFOR THE CALENDAR YEAR 1958.
WHEREAS, Act. 1 of the Special Session Laws of Hawaii'
1957 provides, that the board of supervisors of the county
of Hawaii shall determine the rate at which real property
in the c,ou.nty of Hawaii shall be taxed; and
WHEREAS, the' amount to be raised from real property
tax for the calendar year 1958 for general fund use is
$1,409,550.58; and
WHEREAS, in determining the property tax rate, the
board of supervisors has taken as the basis for calculation
$90,855,213.00 as the aggregate.value of taxable real
property as assessed for tax purposes as of April 21, 1958,
certified and furnished by the Territorial tax commissioner.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the board of
supervisors of the county of Hawaii that the rate at
which real property of the county shall be taxed for the
calendar year 1958 be, and is hereby determined at $15.02
p.er $1,000.00 of assessed value of real property, based
on $1,409,550.58 for general fund use of the county of
Hawaii; and.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a certified copy of this
resolution be transmitted by the county clerk to the
Territorial Tax Commissioner as required by law.

We are in receipt of your letter of May 22, 1958 advising us
that Resolution No. 415, fixing the 1958 real property tax rate for the
County of Hawaii, was amended as follows by the Hawaii County Board of
Supervisors on May 21, 1958:
"Mr. Hisaoka moved that Resolution 415 be amended as
follows:
a - 2nd paragraph, 3rd line, figure be changed from
$1,409,550.58 to read 9$1,419,158.432;
b - 4th paragraph, 6th line, figure be changed from
$1,409,550.58 to read 0$1,419,158.43".
