COUNTY OF HAWAII - TERRITORY OF RA14AII
RESOLUTION NO. 468
WHEREAS, the National Association of County Officials is meeting this
year at Portland, Oregon; and
WHEREAS, a post-convention tour to Hawaii is being planned by the
convention; and
WHEREAS, the County_ of._Hawaii has recently associated itself with the
National Association of:County Officials and is sending a delegate to the
convention; and
WHEREAS, the various counties in the Territory of Hawaii have long felt
the need of active cooperation, professional assistance, and exchange of ideas
relating to their common problems; and
WHEREAS, the occasion of this trip to Hawaii appears to be an ideal
situation in which to initiate action on a more permanent basis for such
cooperation.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS in and for
the County of Hawaii, Territory of Hawaii, that other counties in the
Territory of Hawaii be and are hereby requested to join with the County of
Hawaii in a conference during the post-session tour of the National
Association of County Officials to Hawaii and that the officials of the
National Association of. County Officials be invited to participate in
the conference for the purpose of forming a permanent organization for
mutual assistance and education.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the delegate from the County of Hawaii
to the convention of the National Association of County Officials be
and is hereby requested to exercise his greatest efforts in organizing
said conference,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that copies of this resolution be sent to the
Board of Supervisors of the various Counties in the Territory, and upon
receiving affirmative responses from them, a copy be sent to the President
of the National Association of County Officials.
